Love this diner, the portions are great too! Me and my boyfriend ALWAYS get the Belgian waffle and country fried chicken. Honestly better than Cracker Barrel

First time here and I wish I didn't love so far away. I had the shrimp and crab omelet. It was the best omelet I ever had. Simply incredible.

Always a pleasant experience when I enter this small town feeling diner! The service is so friendly and efficient and quick! I stopped in for a quick breakfast before getting on the road, and I truly enjoyed my chicken fried chicken meal!

This rating is for breakfast. Arrived Sunday morning about 9AM. Immediately seated by pleasant hostess. Coffee and waters on the table in minutes. Ordered a small side of corn fritters, gravy and sausage over biscuits. Food came quickly and hot. Everything tasted home cooked and delicious. Very clean inside and out.

The food was excellent! Down home cooking, priced like working people patronize it. The service was great! I will be back.

This place is amazing. The people are super friendly. Always nice to my little family. And the food tastes like my mom is making it for me. I love eating here. It just makes me feel homey. Comfortable. Relaxed. It is busy at peak dinner times. They take your name and number and text when ready. So you can just sit in your car. But so worth any wait. I almost hate to say how great this place is because I don't want to wait longer. I am addicted to the blacked prime rib. My husband loves the soft shell crab. My daughter loves the fried shrimp. And then there is the dessert. Well the woman (I know it is a woman I saw her deliver the cakes) how makes these cakes is Heaven sent. These cakes are amazing. Chocolate chocolate cake is just sweet enough and chocolate creamy icing. Red Velvet is wonderful. The lemon mascarpone is like a Devine sweet savory cake. With blueberries!!

Visited for the first time and LOVED IT!!! The service was great, and the food was magically delicious! The Crab and Shrimp Omelet with home fries was the meal I didn't know I needed. The Omelet was meaty with large shrimp and real lump crab (some shells included)lol. Oh, and the Cover the Plate Buttermilk Pancake that did just that while buttery and fluffy. They even offer early morning mimosa's to wash it all down without any judgement. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable, the food and service from Summer the server was great. While I don't frequent La Plata, I most definitely will now. If you're ever looking for a guaranteed great meal, good prices and service - STOP BY!

Whether you're going there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner this spot never disappoints. My family & I have been living in Waldorf for 2 years and just stumbled upon this place this year. It doesn't look like much from the outside or inside but the staff is always friendly & the portions are VERY generous! I usually stick to breakfast when I go to diners because that's my favorite meal of the day. Their pancakes are the size of your face or entire plate. But my go to when I come here is the cream chipped beef. It's soooo good & comes in a huge portion so you may just want to order a cup. Make sure to leave room for dessert. Hey friends! I love a good hole in the wall spot that makes you feel at home, and Marie's Diner is exactly that! It's giving locally-owned Waffle House lol. The food and service was amazing, the parking lot being packed on a Tuesday morning was justified! The seating is very intimate. They offer booths and tables with chairs. They also have a homemade dessert bar in the front of the restaurant. We went around 11:30am and had a 20 minute wait. We were surprised to see how busy it was on a weekday morning. That being said, expect longer wait times on the weekends. They take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. Our server, Kim, was sweet and attentive. I appreciate her recommending that I order one pancake instead of two since the pancakes are HUGE lol. We ordered two home style breakfast platters. The food came out in about 15 minutes. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food overall. The pancakes are HUGE lol, they cover the entire plate. I give the pancakes a 7/10 only because I prefer light and fluffy textures and these pancakes were thick. Minus points as well as the eggs could use a little less grease. My favorite were the home fries! They were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. We enjoyed our Marie's Diner and definitely will be back! And for only $22, we were even more impressed!
